Voting on Election Day
Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. If you’re in line at 7:00 p.m., you still have the right to vote.
You can vote at any polling place in St. Louis County. It doesn’t have to be the one closest to home, so if one location is busy you can try another, or vote near work if your job is in the county. Find the nearest locations with the county’s polling place lookup.
Early voting at Wildwood City Hall
Missouri lets any registered voter cast an absentee ballot in person, with no excuse needed, during the two weeks before Election Day. For this election, that starts Tuesday, October 20.
Wildwood City Hall, 16860 Main St., is one of the county’s early voting satellite sites, so you don’t need to drive to St. Ann. Hours at the satellite sites:
| Days | Hours |
|---|---|
| Weekdays, Tue., Oct. 20 – Fri., Oct. 30 | 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. |
| Saturdays, Oct. 24 and Oct. 31 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. |
| Sundays | Closed |
| Monday, Nov. 2 | 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. |
Other satellite sites in West County include the Daniel Boone Branch Library (300 Clarkson Rd.) and St. Louis Family Church – Youth Building (17476 Chesterfield Airport Rd.). The full list is on the Board of Elections home page, and the county’s absentee voting lookup maps them. According to the county, you can also hand a completed mail absentee ballot to an election official at any of these sites.
The Board of Elections office itself (725 Northwest Plaza Dr., St. Ann) has been open for absentee voting since September 22.
Voting absentee by mail
Mail absentee voting (and in-person absentee voting before October 20) requires one of the state’s approved reasons. Examples include being away from St. Louis County on Election Day, illness or disability (yours, or that of someone you care for at the same address), religious belief, working as a first responder, health care worker, law enforcement officer, or election worker, or active military service. The full list is on the county’s absentee voting page.
You can apply online, by email, mail, fax, or in person. Applications must reach the Board of Elections by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. If you registered online or by mail and this is your first time voting, include a copy of an acceptable ID with your application.
What ID to bring
Bring one government-issued photo ID:
- Missouri driver or nondriver license
- U.S. passport or passport card
- U.S. military ID
The ID must be current or have expired after November 5, 2024, the date of the most recent general election. If you’re registered but don’t have an acceptable ID, you can vote a provisional ballot. It will count if you return to the polling place with an acceptable ID, or if your signature on the provisional ballot envelope matches your signature in the voter registry. Details: Acceptable IDs to vote.
Registration
The deadline to register for this election was October 7, 2026. If you’re not sure you’re registered, or you’ve moved, call the Board of Elections at 314-615-1800 or email [email protected].

As an example, the official sample ballot for precinct WH-025, which includes Wildwood City Hall, lists the contests below. Candidates are listed in ballot order.
Federal and state offices
- U.S. Representative, District 2: Ann Wagner (Republican), Fred Wellman (Democratic), Brandon Coulter Daugherty (Libertarian)
- State Auditor: Scott Fitzpatrick (Republican), Quentin Wilson (Democratic), Dustin Coffell (Libertarian)
- State Representative, District 110: Niles Stephens (Republican), Claire Heinrich (Democratic). Other parts of Wildwood are in other House districts with different candidates.

Statewide ballot measures
These five measures are on every Missouri ballot. The summaries below are short; read the official ballot titles and fair ballot language on the Secretary of State’s 2026 ballot measures page.
- Amendment 3 (proposed by the legislature): would repeal the 2024 voter-approved amendment on reproductive health care rights, allow abortion in limited cases (rape and incest under 12 weeks, medical emergencies, fetal anomalies), allow legislation regulating abortion, require parental consent for minors, and prohibit gender transition procedures for minors.
- Amendment 6 (initiative petition): would make initiative and referendum a fundamental right, bar the legislature from weakening those powers, and require 80% of both chambers to change or repeal laws passed by initiative.
- Amendment 7 (proposed by the legislature): would create the “Show-Me Prosperity Fund,” a permanent endowment meant to eventually replace state-imposed taxes.
- Amendment 8 (proposed by the legislature): would put the election of county sheriffs every four years into the state constitution and limit how a sheriff can be removed.
- Proposition A (referendum): asks whether to approve the congressional district map the legislature passed in 2025. A “no” vote keeps the 2022 boundaries. The county’s precinct lookup lists both a “District 2 (2022)” and a “District 2 (2025)” for the City Hall precinct.
St. Louis County measures
- County Proposition A: would amend the county charter to remove the term of office from the County Auditor position.
- County Proposition S: would levy a property tax of five cents per $100 of assessed valuation to fund services for people 60 and older.
Judicial retention
Voters will decide whether to retain Missouri Supreme Court Judge Paul C. Wilson, three judges of the Eastern District Court of Appeals, and a number of circuit and associate circuit judges in the 21st Judicial Circuit (St. Louis County). The full list is on your sample ballot.
No City of Wildwood or Rockwood School District measures appear on the WH-025 sample ballot. Check your own sample ballot to confirm what’s on yours.
